Are you a Vet looking to join an established independently owned Veterinary surgery in Cheshire where you can provide excellent care to your patients and clients whilst progressing and developing your skills within a supportive environment?

We have an exciting full time, permanent job opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon at our clients independently owned tier 3 Veterinary Hospital and standalone purpose built practice situated near Northwich, Cheshire.

  • 4 days a week
  • Scheduled admin time
  • 1 in 8 weekends, Saturday and Sunday 8am-5pm with two days in lieu
  • 1 in 8 inpatient shifts

Practice information: 

The hospital is RCVS accredited, nurse training practice, gold cat friendly and strives to provide the highest standards of first opinion care to patients and clients. The hospital has two theatres, a dental suite including dental radiography, in-house lab with IDEXX blood and urinalysis machines (including sedivue), an EPOC machine, DR x-ray, high quality ultrasound, video endoscope and laparoscope.

The standalone surgery is a purpose built veterinary surgery opened 3 years ago, it is bright, spacious and equipped with full surgical and diagnostic facilities and equipment. They provide the same high standard of care here and only overnight inpatients being transferred to the hospital.

Team

Here you’d be joining a team of eight Vets which includes Advanced Practitioners in Anaesthesia, ECC and Medicine and a diplomat orthopaedic surgeon. They benefit from visiting Specialist vets in Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology and Diagnostic imaging allow you and the team to provide an exceptional standard of care to all patients and the opportunity to care for interesting and challenging cases.

Supported by a fantastic nursing team of eight RVN’s and four SVN’s which are led by a DipAVN and includes ECC Certificate holders.

Clinical teams are fully supported by an experienced and dedicated front of house team.

About you

The ideal candidate will truly care for their patients, be a good team player, be enthusiastic, proactive and motivated to provide a high quality first opinion service to patients and clients. You will ideally have a minimum of 1 years experience, however candidates with less will still be considered.

Here you will be supported and have opportunity to improve and grow as a Vet – post graduate qualifications are encouraged & supported.

  • RCVS Registered (or eligible to register in 2024)
