We have an excellent job vacancy for a full time permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients independent veterinary practice situated in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

• 40hrs per week, 4 or 5 days per week
• Out of hours, maximum of 1 night shift per week
• 1 in 4 weekends

Salary: £40,000-£70,000 dependent on experience.

The practice is a mid size, well equipped veterinary surgery which has 6 consulting rooms, two theatres, a dental suite, separate dog and cat ward, isolation facilities, ultrasound, endoscope, laser machine and diathermy. They have plans to expand into a purpose built Hospital within the next few years.

Here you’d be joining a team of 11 Vets and 14 nurses who provide excellent veterinary care to their patients and clients. Within the team are highly experienced Vets and RVN’s including certificate holders and visiting specialists.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience, be proactive, motivated and sociable and enjoy being involved within clinical discussions, ward rounds and conversations about how to improve the practice. This role involves all aspects of small animal first opinion practice, within your week you will spend time consulting, on the hospital rota seeing day patients and inpatients and performing surgery.

A supportive and encouraging environment there is always someone available to ask for help and discuss a case if required. If you have a special interest and/or would like to study a certificate this is encouraged and supported.

• RCVS Registered
