We have an exciting opportunity for someone like you to join a fantastic Veterinary Practice situated in Easingwold, near York (North Yorkshire) on a full time permanent basis.
- 4.5 days a week
- 1 in 5 weekends/ on call
- £18,000-£26,000 p/a salary (Dependent on experience)
The surgery is a mixed practice that is expanding it’s small animal services/ team. They are well equipped with sterile surgery, separate dog and cat wards, full diagnostic imaging suite with digital x-ray, ultrasonography, endoscopy and ECG, onsite laboratory and temperature controlled consult rooms. Externally there is plenty of free parking for both clients and staff.
An independent practice who have an experienced team of Vets and support staff, they pride themselves on providing continuity of care offering a 24hr service to their patients/ clients and a forward thinking approach to veterinary medicine with traditional values.
The nursing team currently consists of a HVN, and 4 SVN’s (1 due to qualify soon, 2 second year SVN’s and 1 SVN starting course in January 2022) as well as 2 Veterinary Care Assistants. As RVN here you’d be doing hands on nursing and have the opportunity to become a clinical coach.
Working hours/ information:Â
The working rota is 4.5 days per week, 4 days with shifts between the hours of 8am-6pm (either 8am-4.30pm or 9am-6pm) then one half day working 8am-11.30am.
1 in 5 Saturday mornings on reception from 9am-1pm and 1 in 5 weekends on call, which involves nursing from 9am-1pm then on call until Monday morning.
Weekday on call, 1 in 5 – you are always on call with 2 Vets. The Vet on call will call you (the nurse) if required for an emergency. Inpatient checks may be required.
