Are you an RVN with a passion for Exotics? We are recruiting on behalf of our client situated in South Wales who have a specialist Exotics/ Avian service within their surgery & due to the success & growth of this service are looking for a 2nd exotics RVN to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

A progressive, PSS accredited practice, with their exotics service being
established for over a year. They provide first-opinion and referral veterinary care to the
exotic animals of South Wales and beyond.

The caseload has been growing steadily, seeing predominantly birds, reptiles & small mammals, with a small number of amphibians, fish and invertebrates. Some of the work is routine, but the majority of our work is emergency work. They have access to in-house laboratory equipment, ultrasound, endoscopy and CT.

The exotics team currently has one dedicated exotic veterinary surgeon (an RCVS advanced practitioner and ECZM residency trained clinician) and one dedicated RVN.

You/ the successful applicant needs to be passionate about exotic species and their veterinary care, although previous exotic nursing would be an advantage it is not essential. As lots of the cases are emergencies with many coming in at once, a calm & confident attitude is essential.
