Leapfrog Recruitment are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a wonderful practice with an experienced team situated in Margate, Kent. The role available is a permanent position working with a team of 5 other Vets sharing a good mix of consulting and surgery duties.
Working hours:
- Full or Part time, opening hours between 8am-7pm
- 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
- All applicants are welcome to suggest working hours/ a rota that works for you
- No OOHs
About the practice:
The main practice situated in Margate (with ample parking) is well equipped with digital radiography and dental radiography, ultrasound, fully equipped laboratory for in-house analysis and video endoscopy/bronchoscopy. Surrounded by sandy beaches, with close links to ferries and the train for various destinations across Europe. And smaller consulting only branch in Birchington-on-Sea with a cattery attached.
Here you’d be joining a friendly and experienced team of .5 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Nurses, 7 support staff and 2 cattery staff. They have certificate holders in Anaesthesia, Surgery and 3 studying for certificates in Imaging, Ophthalmology and Surgery. Therefore, they have ample experience to support specific interests you may have and encourage you to further your career in areas that interest and excite you.
Salary and benefits (in brief):
- Up to £75,000 per annum
- Up to £5k relocation allowance
- 6.6 weeks annual leave & increasing holiday allowance based on length of service
- Private medical insurance, enhanced policies including maternity/ paternity/ adoption etc
- £1250 CPD allowance with 5 days paid pro rata, additional learning and development opportunities
- Memberships and RCVS fees paid
Minimum requirements:
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon, or eligible to register in 2024
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Confident performing routine 1st opinion consults and surgery
