We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients team at their small animal veterinary practice in Colchester. The position is available on a full or part time, permanent basis and offers a competitive salary up to £60,000, dependant on experience.

Colchester is located within easy access to London and the beautiful Essex coastline, just a stone’s throw from Mersea Island. The practice is open from 8:30am to 6:30pm and runs 20 minute consultations. They are fully equipped with direct digital x-ray, a high-quality ultrasound machine, an endoscope, and in-house lab equipment.
The position would involve carrying out consultations, working up cases, general surgery and basic imaging. You should be confident in routine consultations and surgery and happy with occasional sole charge. An OV qualification is desirable but not essential. Development of special interests in all areas of small animal practice is encouraged and supported, inclusive of certificates.
You would be working alongside one full-time and one part-time Veterinary Surgeon, four qualified Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN), and one Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN), in addition to three Receptionists and one Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA). There are also regular visiting specialists, including a sonographer, cardiologist and an orthopaedic surgeon.
