We are looking for a Vet Surgeon to join a fantastic veterinary practice situated in Midlothian (south of Edinburgh), Scotland on a full time permanent basis.

• Full time, 8.30am-6pm
• 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
• No OOHs

The practice is a fast paced, well equipped privately owned veterinary practice that is well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy.  They provide a fun and supportive work environment for all employees and value a team that works together in a supportive fashion, providing excellent empathetic care to clients and their animals.

Applicants should be friendly and confident. You will have be positive, with a can-do attitude. You will have an awareness already of the normal pressures in small animal practice, including time management and the need to work-up cases. You will be experienced enough in surgery to handle all of the surgery case load efficiently and without help. You will handle clients with a decent amount of EQ and be adept at fitting in and being a respectful member of a team.

Salary starts from £36,000 per annum for a Vet with minimum 1 year experience. Package includes:

• 34 days off per year including bank holidays (majority of which are taken in lieu)
• up to £1000 CPD allowance
• Pension
• RCVS and VDS fees paid
• 1 weekday off every other week, or paid as extra if worked when other vets on holiday
