Leapfrog Recruitment are looking for an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients veterinary practice situated in the beautiful area of Epping, Essex / North London

This role would suit a Vet with an interest in surgery and if you are looking to complete a surgical certificate the practice would cover the costs of this. The role will involve routine small animal veterinary work with blocks of consulting and routine soft tissue surgeries, dentals, as well as diagnostic procedures.

Working rota:

• 4 days per week, 8.30am-6.30pm
• 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, 8.30am-12pm
• No OOHs

About the practice:

A well-established local small animal first opinion veterinary practice which has excellent facilities such as Idexx lab suite, digital x-rays, ultrasound facilities, dental equipment. They also have separate dog and cat wards. The practice is close to Epping station which provides easy access into London but still maintains a village feel with lots of green space locally.

The team currently consists of 5 veterinary surgeons (one of whom will be replaced by the successful candidate), 6 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 2 receptionists.
They have a visiting medicine specialist who assists with more in-depth ultrasound and endoscopy so that these cases can be kept in house. Their new team member will complement our existing friendly team.

Salary and benefits (in brief):

• Up to £75,000 per annum
• Up to £5k relocation allowance
• 6.6 weeks annual leave & increasing holiday allowance based on length of service

• Memberships and RCVS fees paid

Minimum requirements:

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon, or eligible to register in 2024
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Confident performing routine 1st opinion consults and surgery
