Are you a Qualified Vet Nurse looking to work in a successful independent veterinary hospital with local branches?! A mixed animal veterinary practice with a rural feel but close to Oxford and city’s; this opportunity offers an excellent work life balance, team and hands on nursing.

The position:

Full or part time – flexible rota available

A day in the life.

Here her nurses ‘nurse’ and use schedule 3 techniques on a daily basis. Daily duties include blood sampling, intubation, IV catheter placement and much more.

Nurses rotate in different roles, ensuring you see and care for a wide variety of cases. The two main roles are a Kennels Nurse, where you will have inpatients and day patients in your care. Patients are closely monitored at frequent intervals throughout the day. Observations are key to the care of the patient, and any clinical changes are brought to the attention of the case veterinary surgeon directly. Or an Ops Nurse, where you play a vital role in peri-operative nursing. They have a busy and varied ops schedule, where 12+ ops a day is normal. Ops include routines, orthopaedics, Lap spays and many more. To aid in anaesthesia monitoring, they have 2 multi-parameter machines, 2 pulse oximeters, 3 blood pressure machines and a separate ECG machine.

Salary: £21,000-£25,000 dependent on experience
