We are looking for a Registered Vet Nurse (RVN) to join our clients Tier 3 small animal veterinary hospital situated in Hartford, Northwich. The position is available on a full time, 5 month fixed-term maternity leave contract commencing September 2022. The position offers a competitive salary, dependant on experience.
- Full time, 37.5 hours / week
- 1 in 4 weekends
- 5 month fixed term contract commencing September 2022
The position will be focused on providing support within kennels and looking after inpatients and you would be joining a team of 7 Vets, 22 Nursing Staff, 7 Auxiliary Nursing Staff, 8 Reception / Administrators and support staff. You will work in a stimulating environment where facilities and equipment are excellent and there is opportunity to work with a variety of first opinion, emergency, and in-patient cases (both referral and first opinion).
You will be expected to liaise with the Head Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons to ensure maintenance of ‘best’ veterinary practice and effective running of the practice. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Veterinary Surgeons, in line with the code of professional conduct and schedule 3
- Supporting any nursing assistants and / or student veterinary nurses in all aspects of nursing care
- Maintaining a cleaning regime within the practice to ensure high standards are maintained throughout
- Carrying out Nurse clinics or Nurse appointments
