We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to lead and mentor our clients successful and established team at their small animal veterinary practice in Leicester Fosse Park. The position is available on a full time, permanent basis and offers a competitive salary up to £65,000, dependant on experience.

You will join a team of 7 Vets, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Veterinary Nurses, 3 Animal Care Assistants and 7 Receptionists and a Practice Manager. Practice facilities include modern veterinary equipment for surgery including orthopaedic & soft tissue, digital x-ray, ultrasound, IDEXX blood machines and dental x-ray. There is also access to a CT scanner that visits every 4 weeks.
The ideal candidate will have 4/5 years post graduate experience with good surgical and medical skills, and be willing to help more junior members of the team. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential. A basic understanding and knowledge of exotics would be advantageous. You should also have good communication skills, be a team player, and enjoy variety within your day to day role.
