We have an exciting job opportunity for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join a fantastic Veterinary practice in Hertford, Hertfordshire on a full time permanent basis.

• Head Veterinary Nurse
• 40hrs per week
• No OOHs
• 1 in 3 Saturdays with time off in lieu

The surgery is purpose built and well equipped with state of the art surgical and diagnostic equipment and facilities include separate cat, dog and isolation wards, sterile theatre and more. They have a wide and varied caseload, the clientele includes a high percentage of insured pets and have specialists visiting the practice to perform more advanced procedures including cardiac scans, abdominal ultrasound with sampling and orthopaedic procedures. The nurses assist in all areas from theatre to nurse clinics and are encouraged to develop and use their nursing skills to the full potential.

The team is made up of 2 Vets, 1 RVN (hiring another), 2 VCA’s, a full time receptionist and a practice manager.

Salary is competitive and the package includes RCVS and VDS fees paid, funded and encouraged CPD, discounts, pension, healthcare and more.
